HORSEBACK RIDING LESSONS & TOURS IN PRINCETON, MA

Cornerstone Ranch is open year ’round, and we offer both 1- and 2-hour guided trail rides on horseback, as well as private and group horseback riding lessons, and horse-drawn rides.

For a peaceful journey through the forests of Princeton and Rutland, take a guided horseback trail ride. Suitable for all riding experience levels and for anyone ages 10 and up, enjoy the beauty of the woods at a walking pace while experiencing a special bond with your horse for the ride. On a clear day, you may see all the way to the Boston city skyline from Mellon Hill, the point of highest elevation from the geographical center of Massachusetts. Trail rides are led by helpful Wranglers who will provide brief instruction prior to the ride so that everyone feels comfortable controlling their horse in the open environment.

If you’re interested in advancing your horsemanship skills further and learning more advanced maneuvers including trotting and cantering, we also offer riding lessons and all-day workshops, held in the enclosed riding ring or spacious indoor arena depending on the weather. Private lessons are a half-hour long and are especially helpful for beginners to feel comfortable in the saddle as well as for more advanced riders who wants to hone a particular technique or skill. Once you feel comfortable, group lessons are also fun and offer a longer lesson time of 1 hour, as well as the opportunity to observe other riders in a friendly, encouraging atmosphere. Riding lessons are taught by licensed Massachusetts riding instructors and owners of Cornerstone Ranch, Susan Connell and Julia Connell.
